We offer opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to cultivate their connections to God and one another through worship, reflection, learning and service. We are always seeking students to assist in roles as\u00a0<a href=\"#\">liturgical ministers<\/a>, including lector, altar server, Eucharistic minister, sacristan, and choir member\/cantor. For example, the Freshmen Overnight and Kairos Weekend (for upper class students)\u00a0<a href=\"#\">retreats<\/a>, held at beautiful Lantz Farm in Wetzel County, help students take a deeper look at their relationship with family, God and friends.<\/p><p>In addition, student-led\u00a0<em>Small Prayer Communities<\/em>, which meet weekly in the residence halls, give students the opportunity to come together and share their faith with one another in the midst of everyday life.<\/p><p>One-on-one spiritual direction with campus ministers is also available upon request. Campus Ministry does this mainly by partnering with the\u00a0<a href=\"#\">Appalachian Institute<\/a>. Through involvement with the\u00a0Institute, students, faculty, and staff can become involved with the HESS mentoring program, the Fr. Pedro Arrupe S.J. Scholars Program, immersion experiences focused on health care, energy, water, and service,\u00a0environmental justice<strong>,<\/strong>\u00a0and other social justice projects.
